Take a deep breath, lace up your shoes, and let’s head into nature—together.
Join us for a relaxed 12km group hike through the beautiful landscapes of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug around Maarn.
The region is easily accessible by train (50 min from Amsterdam Central, 20 from Utrecht, and 70 from Den Haag). This is your chance to experience how easy and refreshing it can be to get into nature—and how much more fun it is when shared.
Whether you're new to hiking or just want some good company on the trail, you’re welcome. We’ll take it easy, enjoy the views, have time to chat and find a nice place to picnic. We probably are on the trail for 4-5 hours including breaks.
🥾 What’s in store:
🌿 A scenic 12km loop hike (with the option to shorten if needed)
🌿 Forest trails, rolling heathland, lakeside views, and a charming country estate
🌿 A few tasty snacks
📍 Logistics:
Meeting Point: Maarn, inform of the train Station
Time: Meet at 10:45 AM (most trains arrive at 10:31)
Parking: You can park for free at the train station
💡 What to bring:
✅ Plenty of water – stay hydrated!
✅ Your own lunch (we’ll bring some extra snacks to share)
✅ Comfortable walking shoes
✅ optional: Picnic blanket or something to sit on
✅ Weather-appropriate clothing (hopefully that means sun protection like sunscreen and a hat) )

This hike is a chance to unplug, unwind, and rediscover how refreshing it is to simply be outside—with others and in movement.
