From  ICA website:

Diversity & inclusion: Unconscious bias.

Unconscious bias - there is no escape, we all have it; however unbiased we like to think to think we are. Accelerated by recent developments (and escalations), the topic of diversity and inclusion has now - rightfully so – been placed firmly on the agenda of most leading companies and institutions. This also goes for companies often (typically) perceived as ‘old-fashioned’, including law firms.

In light of AKD’s ambition to explicitly focus more on diversity and inclusion, AKD recently organized (internal) unconscious bias seminars hosted by renowned diversity expert Esther Mollema. According to Esther, the issue with unconscious bias is not that we are biased, the issue is that we think we are non-biased. She demonstrated that unconscious bias is part of us all, explaining how our brain works.
