Hello dear all,

Have you ever dreamt of joining a sailorship to cross the sea. Well this is your opportunity. The Race of the Classics aimed at Young Professionals is every year joined by 680 young talents aboard of 23 classic sailing ships of a great variety and size. The Young Professionals take part in a real sailing competition across the North Sea. The fleet will leave the port of Rotterdam. The goal is cross the Canal to Ipswich, England. The race will finish at the IJ near Amsterdam through IJmuiden. Here the closing event will take place with a huge party. 

You don't need any sailling experience, because with a seasoned crew you will experience what it is like to cross the sea on a sailing ship. This "rees" is known as one of the largest if not the largest sailling competition with classics ship in the Netherlands.

Important note:

• Participation of us TNO is depening on drawing lots. There is a possibility we do not get drawn this year.
  If we get a smaller boat assigned then the maximum number of participant, we will ask you to send a motivation letter and the committee will decide who is in.  
• Being able to swim is required – having experience on a sailing ship not. 
• By subscription you are aware that you commit to:
  • paying (be aware that the price is an estimation given by the organisation of the ROTC)
  • Lowering the price is dependent on getting sponsoring from (Jong)TNO. If you have a great idea for a good pitch or anything else please contact us!!! 
    Special note: we received sponsoring of 625 euro per person from TNO for this event due to our great pitch! This means that the price per person is lowered from 1250 per person to 625 per person. 
• Taking a week leave in October (no hybrid way of working is possible)
• You commit to a cool team building events/weekends/parties which will take place before hand.
• A great life experience!
• a hand with a good glass of beer!
• You are required to network.
• We are required by the ROTC organization to have at least 33% of each sex on the ship
• Special note: To avoid double sponsoring of individuals. We want to include only people who are not joining the international trip.So, you will either join the international trip or the Race of the Classics.
